About the Event

The Perú Fintech Forum brings together startups, financial institutions, investors, regulators, and technology providers to accelerate the development of the digital financial ecosystem in Peru and across the Andes. The 2026 edition featured a strong focus on digital identity, open banking, and regulatory innovation.

Our Participation

Paradigma was among the Chilean technology companies selected by ProChile — Chile’s trade promotion agency — to represent the country’s technology ecosystem at the event. Our team engaged with fintech leaders, banking executives, and compliance professionals from the Peruvian and broader LATAM financial markets.

The conversations in Lima confirmed a pattern we see across the region: institutions are actively looking to reduce duplicated KYC processes, lower onboarding friction, and prepare for stricter data protection enforcement — the exact problems UbID is built to solve.

Key Themes from the Floor

  • Portable identity is gaining traction in the Andean market. Banks and fintechs are asking how verified user data can travel between institutions without requiring the user to re-verify from scratch.
  • Regulatory compliance as a service — Peruvian institutions anticipate tighter enforcement of privacy frameworks and are looking for trusted infrastructure partners.
  • LATAM interoperability — cross-border financial services between Peru, Chile, Colombia, and Brazil are creating urgent demand for a shared digital trust layer.

These conversations align directly with what Paradigma and UbID offer: a portable, privacy-preserving trust fabric that turns one-time verification into a reusable credential.

What’s Next

We continue our global presence with Internet Identity Workshop XLIII (3–5 Nov 2026, Mountain View, CA). If you met our team in Lima and would like to continue the conversation, reach out here.
